A closer look at the journey.

The Nar Phu journey leaves the busier Annapurna approach for a side valley of stone villages and open mountain country. Time at Phu allows a closer look at the settlement before moving toward Nar and Kang La. The route then joins the Manang side of the Annapurna Circuit rather than ending immediately after the valley visit.

This longer version continues toward Thorong Phedi and crosses Thorong La before descending to Muktinath and Jomsom. It therefore involves more than one high crossing and needs a plan suited to the group. Lower approach stages may change with road access; discuss the balance between walking, transport and time in the villages before booking.
